Majestic door made of Iroko wood in the Avellaneda Palace

Gabarró's materials were again the protagonists, in this case this wonderful Iroko wooden door of the Avellaneda Palace in the Plaza Mayor of Peñaranda de Duero. The Palace was built in the early sixteenth century, and is a magnificent set of facade, central courtyard, staircase, richly paneled rooms and plasterwork, is undoubtedly one of the jewels of Spanish plateresque.
The door was made by ARTE Y MADERA from Burgos and they used Iroko KD wood, a tropical wood from Africa and highly recommended for the exterior.
