Our commitment to sustainability is part of our DNA. For this reason, we are always in constant search and innovation in terms of products and solutions for our clients, with a clear commitment to sustainability and proximity.
In this effort, we only work with suppliers that manage forests rigorously and that use ecologically efficient production techniques with a reduced carbon footprint.
Sustainable development is at the center of our commercial and operational activity, from the supply of products and their transformation, to the transportation to the homes of our clients and collaborators.
All this, together with the high quality of our wood products, the more than 100 years of accumulated experience and the personalized advice we offer, make us a leading sustainable wood distribution company in the market.
Our company, in its desire to improve, wants to continue carrying out a respectful and responsible policy with the Environment and the planet's natural resources, just as it has been doing throughout almost 100 years of existence. For this reason, it has been deemed convenient and necessary to sign the document that the Spanish Association of Wood Importers – A.E.I.M., of which it is a prominent member, approved the General Assembly of the aforementioned Association held in Madrid on March 11, 2005. This The document is titled “Code of Good Environmental Practices” and is a reflection of our firm commitment to good environmental practices and the sustainable management of forests.
At the same time we must inform that with the aim of continuing to carry out a respectful and responsible policy with the Environment and the planet's natural resources, our company has obtained for all its warehouses, the ''Chain of Custody'' Certification of the two most internationally recognized Certification systems, which are the following:
• PEFC. (Programme for Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes)
• FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®)
The PEFC Chain of Custody Certificate number is BMC-PEFC-COC-0083 and the company also meets the requirements mentioned in Appendix 4 of the PEFC ST 2002:2020 standard.
The FSC® Chain of Custody Certificate number is BMC-COC-003620.
Both systems or formulas are totally and completely valid and have the same practical effects because they do so for the Certification of wood and the preservation of natural resources.
It is our wish that all our collaborators are fully aware of the company's policy in its effort to contribute to sustainability in the exploitation of the Earth's natural resources, implementing more rigorous control in the extraction and exploitation of raw materials.
In this way we will help avoid risk situations due to the possibility of proceeding with illegal logging, the exploitation of forests of high conservation value, protected areas, species included in the CITES list (agreement of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora), conversion of forest areas to other uses, areas of armed conflict, areas related to social and human rights problems.
