Gabarró dresses the floors of the renovated Hotel Pestana Plaza Mayor in Madrid

The interior design studio Estudio b76 has been commissioned to carry out the renovation of the emblematic Hotel Pestana Plaza Mayor in Madrid, and they have chosen to dress their floors with our Medfloor Raw multilayer wood flooring.

In the words of Carlos Hernández-Carrillo, architect at Estudio b76 and head of the interior design project: “we were looking for a natural wood cladding in keeping with the centuries-old history of the building that we projected in the new Hotel. It had to be a floor that with time and use became more beautiful, as is the case with its thick brick walls or its old granite walls ”. and that is why they have decided to use our Medfloor Raw multilayer raw oak wood flooring in this renovation, since it is a flooring ready to be finished and customized by professionals according to the tastes of each client, thus offering an exclusive finish.

Among the technical characteristics of the Medfloor Raw collection, its composition of natural oak plywood (without finishing) and the click-free joint stand out. It is also a pallet with visible knots and repaired knots, with a 3mm noble layer. Composed of 20% AB quality and 80% CD quality, without being as rustic as the Medfloor Old collection. In addition, its micro-beveled edges mean that its 2200 x 240 x 14/3 mm slats add strength and character to any project.

Our Medfloor Raw platform has been installed in the reception, Hall and corridors and Cocktail-bar of this beautiful hotel. You can see in the images, how it is perfectly integrated with the rest of the furniture and decoration.
