Gabarró incorporates the Radiata Pine into its portfolio of coniferous woods
03/12/2023
Gabarró expands its offer of pine wood with the addition of Radiata Pine, a highly demanded wood in Spain due to its high performance and its competitive price. It is a wood of good growth, good repopulation, and that comes from sustainable forests, characteristics highly appreciated in Gabarró, where we are committed to good environmental practices and carry out a respectful and responsible policy with the natural resources of the planet. This wood has its origin in New Zealand, although it can be found in other geographical areas.
Gabarró has a large stock of this wood, marketed in qualities of 3/4 clean faces of knots, 6 different squares (38x200/250/300 and 50x200/250/300) and lengths of 2,100 to 6,000 mm, with 4 sharp edges (C/V) and kiln dried (KD). It is an easily machinable wood and commonly used in interior carpentry and furniture.
With the incorporation of this new species, Gabarró complements its range of American Pines, along with Red Cedar, Hemlock USA, Yellow Pine or Melis and Oregon Pine. As for conifers of European origin, other of the relevant species offered by Gabarró is the Pine of Flanders and the pine of Flanders thermo-treated by Lunawood, with which to carry out projects such as the coating with slats for a hotel in Calella (Barcelona).
It is undeniable that wood is being used again in sectors such as construction or architecture, which had opted in the past for other types of more "industrial" materials. However, for us, wood has always been an appreciated material and we will continue to claim its use and benefits.
