At Gabarró we are committed to the Environment.

Incorporation of hybrid vehicles: We have expanded our fleet of commercial vehicles, with new hybrid cars that will emit up to 30% less CO2 into the environment than with other vehicles with another type of combustion.

Hybrid cars represent a sustainable alternative and a more ecological transport.

Installation of photovoltaic panels: We have made an investment to install 840 photovoltaic panels in the Polinyá facilities.

This action supposes a production of more than 100,000KWh/year, which makes it possible to cover 30% of the electricity demand of the facilities and to reduce CO2 emissions in the atmosphere. Equivalent to planting more than 4,500 trees per year.

A commitment to renewable energies and self-consumption.

Environmental certifications: Since 2005 Gabarró has been part of AEIM (Spanish Association of Wood Importers), where it is committed to good environmental practices and sustainable forest management.

In addition, we have PEFC and FSC Chain of Custody forestry certifications for the main wood products.

Commitment to circular materials: This year 2022 we have begun to exclusively distribute HONEXT cellulose fiber boards.

It is a healthy sustainable material without toxic products, made with recycled and recyclable materials, contributing to the circular economy.

In addition to its interesting sustainable characteristics, the HONEXT board is a product with good fire reaction properties C-s1,d0, acoustic absorption and thermal insulation. Its applications include wall cladding, false ceilings, retail, contract and ephemeral architecture.
