Lunawood, the brand of heat-treated wood, has created the "Lunawood Urban Challenge".
A contest based on wood, a construction material of responsible and natural origin.
The international competition aimed at students of architecture, architects and creative professionals focuses on developing projects of environments or urban cities more sustainable, renewable and modern from the heat-treated wood of Lunawood.
Lunawood wood comes from renewable Nordic forests, which help reduce CO2 from the air, in this way participants will have the opportunity to significantly reduce the carbon footprint of buildings and increase healthy life experiences with better air quality when innovating with Lunawood wood.
The challenge requires the redesign of an existing non-renewable urban environment embracing the possibilities of Lunawood Thermowood. In addition, the participant can use digital design tools through the BIM objects of the brand.
The contest can be presented from May 2 to June 24, 2019, and registration is free. In addition, the first winning project will get € 5,000 reward.
